Many of our members are interested in trying out their Archery Skills in the way of Bowhunting.  Under the ABA rules, members are required to complete a Bowhunting Proficiency Certificate known as a ‘BPC’ for short. The course not only provides you with solid hunting foundation but also gives you the credentials you need to be covered by the ABA when hunting.

Our club member, Elissa Rosemond has been dedicating many years to Bowhunting where she has achieved many best species awards and Female Bowhunter of the year. Elissa has also dedicated her time in completing her Archery Field Instructors Course, also the Course needed to hold the position of Bowhunting Instructor which is required to conduct the Bowhunting Proficiency Course, as implemented by the ABA. 

If you haven’t completed a BPC,  then do yourself a favour and lock yourself into the next course. You will need to purchase "The National Bowhunting Education Manual" from ABA, which is $19 and must be studied prior to doing your BPC. The course is one day only and covers content from National Bowhunting Education Manual, and also a practical ‘shoot’ test which must be passed to receive your BPC certificate, so make sure you bring your bow and a few arrows!
