OUR PURPOSE
The Full Draw Field Archers Club wishes to promote a fun friendly environment for all to enjoy the sport of archery. We would like to make the sport of field archery a family friendly sport, catering for all ages, where safety if paramount for all, and will continue with our excellent safety record. We are committed to developing all archers to reach their goals and potential with friendly coaching. If you wish to proceed on to bow hunting, Full Draw Field Archers will assist you with understanding the ABA Code of Ethics for bow hunting and achieving your bow hunting proficiency certificate.
Full Draw Field Archers fully supports and promotes female participation in the sport of archery. Where practicably possible we will assist disabled participants to enjoy the sport of archery. We look forward to having a wide range of ethnical participants, to work with, and to gaining a respect of local indigenous archers and their culture. We promote one of the largest age participation of modern day sports, with archers aged between 5 and 90 years of age. We also seek out and participate in initiatives helping the socially and economically disadvantaged, to participate in our outdoor sport.
We will strive to hold a couple major competitions each year and we will also have annual club championships, as well as bowhunting awards. As we are affiliated with ABA (Australian Bowhunters Association) there is opportunity for our shoot team members to travel away to other ABA affiliated clubs. Eligible competitions for our members are also the IFAA (International Field Archers Association) State, National and World Championships. Club members who participate in competitions will receive a grading based on score, gender, age and bow class.
