COME & TRY DAYS
A Come & Try session is a structured, supervised introduction to archery at Full Draw Field Archers.
These sessions are designed for people who have never tried archery before, or those returning to the sport and wanting to see whether archery — and FDFA — is right for them before committing to membership.
Each session includes:
-
A short safety briefing
-
Basic instruction from trained archery coaches
-
Guided shooting using club equipment
The focus is on safety, learning the basics, and getting a feel for the sport in a relaxed, well-run environment.
Who Come & Try sessions are for ?
Come & Try sessions are suitable for beginners of all ages who are able to follow instructions and safely handle equipment.
-
Come & Try days are open to participants aged 5 and up
-
Some younger children may find it difficult to draw club bows
-
All Children aged up to 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
Archery is enjoyed by both adults and families, and many people find it offers a good mix of focus, challenge, and social interaction — without being overly physical.
